Sistem Dionex Integrion HPIC merupakan sistem HPIC (kromatografi ion tekanan tinggi) yang terdiri dari komponen elektronik yang digunakan untuk menganalisa sampel ion. Sistem ini hampir sama dengan HPLC dimana terdiri atas area eluen, status sistem LED, kompartemen terisolasi untuk kolom dan valve, kompartemen untuk pump, serta kompartemen detektor dan perangkat tambahan lainnya (misalnya, suppressor dan carbonate removal device). Pengaplikasian kromatografi ion umumnya digunakan untuk menganalisis sumber daya sehari-hari seperti air, makanan dan minuman, bahan bakar berbasis bio, dan obat-obatan. Instrumen ini didukung oleh fitur yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan saat ini, diantaranya:
Pompa (Pump) pada Dionex Integrion HPIC menampilkan variabel aliran, desain serial-piston yang menghasilkan laju alir secara konsisten dengan denyut yang rendah sehingga menghasilkan detector noise yang rendah. Dengan meningkatkan tekanan pump hingga mencapai 6000 psi, serta mengatur laju flow rates secara linear dari 0,001 sampai 10 mL/min. Hal ini berdampak positif pada sistem Dionex Integrion HPIC yang mampu mengurangi waktu pengoperasian sekaligus meningkatkan selang kepercayaan dan produktivitasnya.
Sistem ini terintegrasi pada seluruh jenis pemisahan kromatografi ion (IC) yang umumnya menggunakan 2 jenis detektor yaitu konduktivitas dan amperometri. Sistem ini mampu memberikan kinerja yang tinggi, menghemat ruang penyimpanan dan memastikan semua komponen mudah untuk diakses baik untuk perawatan maupun pemeliharaan. Rak eluen pada bagian depan dapat menampung botol eluen dengan volume 2 Liter sehingga mudah untuk melihat ketersediaan eluen. Pada bagian belakang terdapat botol eluen dengan daya tampung bervolume 4 Liter.
Sistem Dionex Integrion HPIC memiliki fitur khusus untuk memantau kinerja dari penggunaan consumable (bahan habis pakai). Fitur ini sangat bermanfaat untuk mengetahui waktu terbaik dalam pemeliharaan dan penggantiannya. Pelacakan consumable ini dilakukan melalui Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)
Eluen generator mampu menghasilkan eluen dengan kemurnian yang tinggi melalui perangkat lunak, sehingga kinerja alat sangat konsisten dari hari ke hari, laboratorium ke laboratorium, bahkan dari operator ke operator lainnya. Dengan penggunaan eluen generator, penggunaan eluen secara gradien dapat dilakukan dengan sangat mudah seperti halnya isokratik.
Eluen dengan kemurnian yang tinggi dihasilkan dari air deionisasi (DI) dan Eluent Generator Cartridge. Eluen ini dapat pula diregenerasi menggunakan teknologi Thermo Scientific Dionex CR-TC (Continuously Regenerating Trap Columns). Karena pembuatan eluen dilakukan secara online maka pompa hanya mengalirkan air dan eluen dialirkan oleh eluen generator sehingga waktu pemakaian (lifetime) pump pistons and seals extended menjadi lebih panjang, selain itu kontaminasi piston selama seal wash bisa dihilangkan. Pengontrolan, mengecek status ,dan mendiagnosa ketersedian eluen dapat dilakukan dengan mudah melalui satu perangkat lunak, yaitu Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ Chromeleon™ Chromatography Data System (CDS) Software.
