By fully integrating eluent generation (RFIC-EG) technology the Dionex Aquion RFIC system uses proven and reliable technologies to deliver results you can count on. The system is designed for ease of use, providing fast start-up times and reliable, stable performance for demanding applications in environmental, food safety, and academic laboratories. In addition, it is compatible with all Dionex suppressor technologies and column formats from 2 mm to 5 mm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Dionex Aquion Ion Chromatography System performs ion analyses using suppressed or non-suppressed conductivity detection. An ion chromatography system typically consists of a liquid eluent, a high-pressure pump, a sample injector, a guard and separator column, a chemical suppressor, a conductivity cell, and a data collection system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before running a sample, the ion chromatography system is calibrated using a standard solution. By comparing the data obtained from a sample to that obtained from the known standard, sample ions can be identified and quantitated. The data collection system, typically a computer running chromatography software, produces a chromatogram (a plot of the detector output vs. time). The chromatography software converts each peak in the chromatogram to a sample concentration and produces a printout of the results. The Ion Chromatography components consist of :<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\">ELECTROLYTIC SUPPRESSION\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Dionex Aquion RFIC system supports all types of Dionex suppression technologies for standard bore and microbore column formats, including MMS and ERS electrolytic suppressors, eliminating manual regenerant preparation. Among the advantages of electrolytic suppression are fast startup times, superior sensitivity for both cation and anion analysis, reduced background conductivity and enhanced day-to-day consistency.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\">CONDUCTIVITY DETECTION\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Dionex Aquion IC system is designed and optimized for applications using conductivity detection. The temperature-controlled, high-performance conductivity cell is unaffected by ambient temperature variations. In addition, digital control offers a wide dynamic range for detecting analytes with large concentration variations within the same sample.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\">ELUENT GENERATION<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The RFIC-EG electrolytically generates high-purity eluents on-line, ensuring perfectly consistent performance day to day, lab to lab, and operator to operator. With eluent generation, gradient separations can be as easy as isocratic applications. High purity eluents are generated from deionized (DI) water using the Thermo Scientific\u2122 Dionex\u2122 EGC Eluent Generator Cartridge and then polished of contaminants using one of the Thermo Scientific\u2122 Dionex\u2122 CR-TC Continuously Regenerating Trap Columns. This line of trap columns removes contaminants, thereby eliminating trace ionic impurities, such as carbonate, from the eluent stream. Control, status, and diagnostics are provided with the Chromeleon CDS software. Compared to manual eluent preparation RFIC-EG provides superior results by preventing baseline shift, increasing sensitivity, improving resolution, and ensuring consistent peak integration. It also makes your system more reliable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\">SOFTWARE CHROMELEON<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chromeleon Chromatography Data System (CDS) software provides the most powerful control and data processing available for ion chromatography.
