The Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap Exploris™ 120 mass spectrometer is a high-resolution mass spectrometer developed by Thermo Scientific™ which is based on proven hardware and instrument control software designs of next-generation Thermo Scientific™ mass spectrometers and incorporates extensive customer and service engineer feedback. The Orbitrap Exploris 120 mass spectrometer extends the Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Exploris mass spectrometer portfolio, with productivity made easy and rugged for laboratories performing high-throughput targeted screening and quantitation. High-resolution accurate-mass (HRAM) capability provides the fast path to accurate results in a solution with everyday operational usability and consistent performance.
High-resolution mass spectrometers are designed to resolve analytes of interest from interferences. With Orbitrap high-resolution accurate-mass (HRAM) technology, the Orbitrap Exploris 120 mass spectrometer goes further by discriminating ions of interest from interfering ions differing by only very small mass increments at mass-to-charge ratios as low as m/z 40. As a result, you substantially reduce the likelihood of false positives and negatives when analyzing complex sample matrices.
