HyperSep SLE cartridges and plates
Solid Liquid Extraction (SLE) is a fast and effective sample preparation technique that provides advantages over liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) protocols for removing phospholipids from biological samples. SLE offers the following advantage:
- Noble reproducibility and recovery compared to the LLE technique
- Prevents the emulsification often associated with LLE
- Lower solvent usage compared to LLE
- Unlike LLE, SLE can be fully automated
- Sample extraction is cleaner (hygienic) than the protein precipitation technique
- Improved sensitivity compared to protein precipitation techniques.
Thermo Scientificâ„¢ HyperSepâ„¢ SLE is available in cartridge and 96 well plate formats and in acidified or basified to help simplify protocols when acidic or basic cellular phases.

HyperSep protein precipitation plate
The protein crash technique provide a fast and efficient approach to remove proteins from biological compounds. Combined with SPE and SLE, the Protein Precipitation Plate offers a wide range of options for sample preparation of biologically based compounds. The 96-well plate format provides high throughput functionality suitable for full automation.
- Double frit design
- The hydrophobic/oleophobic fraction only allows protein precipitation
- Optimized pore sizes for ideal flow rates
- Polypropylene is selected for low extract

All-plastic disposable:
Syringes
- Disposable syringe with polyethylene barrel and polypropylene plunger; use for all syringe filter applications.
- The two-piece plastic construction eliminates the need for rubber or synthetic plunger gaskets.
- No need for silicone or oil lubrication in a tube.
- Choose from Luer-Slip or Luer Lock syringes (capacities from 1 to 50 mL).
