GC-MS ISQ 7610 Thermo Scientific is a single quadrupole GC platform capable of increasing laboratory efficiency and productivity through increased robustness combined with superior sensitivity to meet your most challenging analytical needs.
The ISQ 7610 GC-MS system is simplified to ensure data consistency over time. Fully automated instruments make it easy and don’t take much time to learn how to use.


  • High sensitivity in full scan and SIM acquisition modes for targeted and non-targeted trace levels of analyte detection, with the Thermo Scientific™ ExtractaBrite™ ionization source. Increased sensitivity is available with an Advanced Electron Ionization (AEI) Source in special configurations.
  • Remove the hassle out of tuning with SmartTune, a simplified tuning tool to easily maintain a consistent response over time.
  • Improve instrument productivity to unprecedented levels with patented NeverVent technology.

NeverVent Technology

  • Available exclusively in VPI-enabled systems, V-Lock isolates the vacuum region of the mass spectrometer from the column. Allows the method to change GC columns quickly, without ventilation.
  • Optional Vacuum Probe Interlock (VPI) wipes the entire ExtractaBrite source for maintenance or changing to ventilation-less ionization mode (available on ISQ 7610 GC-MS systems with VPI configuration).

ISQ 7610 Single Quadrupole GC-MS is suitable for testing laboratories in industries or fields such as food, environment, and forensics/toxicology.



Mass Analyzer

  • Two-stage mass filter with off-axis ion guide pre-filter for noise reduction and solid, homogeneous, uncoated, maintenance-free quadrupole rod.
  • The patented RF lens is embedded in the ion source to protect the quadrupole from ion burn.
  • Fast quadrupole scanning up to 20,000 u/s.

Acquisition Rate

  • Ability to acquire more than 240 scans/s on SIM.
  • Ability to acquire more than 97 scans/s in FS when scanning over a 125 u range.


  • Thermo ScientificTM XLXRTM detection system, with 10 kV off-axis dynode, electron multiplier, and discrete dynode electrometer, >107 (0–110 A) linear range.
